It also features a boost mode, which cycles between 40 amps and 15 amps, that will quickly add charge to deeply discharged batteries. For routine battery charging and maintaining, the DH0163 has 6-amp to 2-amp (12-volt) and 2-amp (6-volt) charge/maintain modes. In addition, the unit includes diagnostic capabilities with a built-in alternator performance tester and a battery voltage tester. Plus, a scrolling digital display prompts users at each stage of the charging process. Other features include a recessed channel for cord storage, a 7-foot AC power cord, an 8.25-foot booster cable, and heavy-duty, color-coded clamps.
